assuming the AL ESPN show some coverage. How many other schools have a MM with 4000+fans?
I'd say most schools do...
Schools like UNC and UK have 17,000 plus in attendance.
Duke will fill Cameron which is about 7500-8000 as I recall.
UNC's "Late Night With Roy" was hosted by Stuart Scott (an alum) and was highlighted by Vince Carter donating $2.5 million to the basketball endowment fund. Vince, Eric Montross, Raymond Felton and MJ were in the house as well, among others.
I was at "Late Night with Roy" a few years back and Stuart Scott was embarrassingly bad. It may have since gotten better, but it was an atrocious event when I attended.
Honestly, I think if networks were on the ball and realized Dwyane Wade and others were going to be at MU Madness, I think it would have gotten more coverage.
Where was Channel 4, 6, 12 or 58?

I just can't believe that after the fact there wasn't at least an article. There was an article mentioning that Carmelo Anthony came to Syracuse's event.
I agree, that's pretty weak.

I wonder if they were invited, or if they knew that Wade, Matthews, and company were scheduled to be there. I wonder if the uncertainty, and Wade indicating that he may not make it because of NBA labor negotiations had Marquette hedging on trying to make a promise they couldn't deliver on. Had they guaranteed an appearance from Wade, I think they would have had coverage, at the very least from Channel 12, since they could have had a photographer walk to the Al (located at 19th & Wells).
That's just the local media dropping the ball, again. We knew, but they didn't.

Gotta blame the Athletic dept for not getting the word out. The media cannot read minds.

I was talking to someone from the AD the night before madness. He had no clue that our pros were coming back and was pretty excited when I told him so.
I was dumbfounded.
Pippens, Lada, Sutton, Burks, Allen, need to do there job.

I am guessing most of them were covering the Brewers that night. And yes, that is their priority.
I never said they should be at the Al. They can't send a camara man to film.
