UPDATE: 10:30 pm
ESPN - Report: Missouri, SEC have informal agreement
Now officially on ESPN - http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/6998589/sec-informal-agreement-add-missouri-according-report
This is sorta good. If the Big 12 implodes first, it helps us.
SEC issued a statement saying this was not true...
http://twitter.com/#!/SECPRGuy (http://twitter.com/#!/SECPRGuy)
SEC statement "The Southeastern Conference has not agreed, formally or informally, to accept any institution other than Texas A&M and there have not been conference discussions regarding changes in divisional alignments."
Did not we see this same chatter from Missouri last year as a potential Big Ten entry? Similar informal acceptances leaked followed by similar formal Big Ten denials.
My memory is not what it used to be - and it has never been that good to begin with - but I could have sworn we have seen this same Missouri song and dance before.
Now on ESPN Home Page.
