"We would be open to that as part of our rotation." Swofford on moving ACC tournament to MSG!!!!!

ummm...doesn't SJU and the BE control that lease for CBB?  These departing schools' fan boards think the legacy BE schools will be willing to play them OOC so they can recruit NYC.  I sure hope MSG (and the Rock) is locked up. This is going to get very dirty here.

I would doubt the ACC would move its tournament 500 miles away from its fan base.

Everyone loves a trip to NYC and they will want the media exposure. Hope I'm wrong.

The Big East has a contract with Madison Square Garden for the Big East Basketball Tournament through 2016, according to Pete Thamel.

The ACC's key to survival is the death of the Big East.

Taking the MSG is the spear in the heart and with money being king, it is not a matter of if that spear will be thrust, but when.

Coaches Vs Cancer just singed a deal with Brooklyn...  The Brooklyn arena is blowing up from a local standpoint....easier to get to which makes a commute so much easier. There is a reason why MSG is under construction.

Can u imagine Duke, UNC, UCONN and Cuse in the city? Stupid ridiculous. It's NY! It's about entertainment!

ACC is talking about MSG being "in the roatation". Duke and UNC do not want to give up their conference tourney advantage. Will MSG want to give up the new BIG EAST tournament so it can get the ACC every 4 years?

MSG is in trouble. As I said earlier, there is a reason why it is under construction. The trains to the Barclays Arena is WAY better than MSG. Besides, if ur a casual fan, do u want to watch MU vs. DePaul or UNC vs. Duke, SU vs. UCONN? No brainer!

That's the way I see it as well.  While this move is football driven, basketball is still controlled by Duke and UNC.  No way they allow it to move out of tobacco road.

This may the only way for the ACC to have more than two basketball teams that don't stink.

If UConn and Rutgers make their departures official that will mean 7 of the ACC's members are from the Big East. Ruthless efficiency. If you can't beat em, buy em out.

Money talks and if the ACC expands again, I cannot see how MSG would allow tradition to be upheld in favor of more money.

If the BE dies, ACC owns the MSG.
