Class of 2013 Rivals150 prospect Kendal Harris has picked up offers from Creighton, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. He visited Oklahoma this past weekend and plans to visit Marquette and Texas this month.

would that be an unofficial visit since he's class of 2013?

Yes. On his own dime. You cannot take an official until after school begins for your senior year.
I live in the Dallas area and Kendal is a very good player. I know Buzz been wanted Kendal since the 8th grade. He actually recruited his older brother Terrel when he was in highschool.
would be great to start a dallas pipeline. otule has exceeded expectations.

Otule is from the Houston area.
Hey...Texas is Texas....
Would be a huge pick up for Marquette Basketball.
6'4" point guard would be sweet
Agreed! Still will always love the 3 amigos for incredible David vs Goliath results, but it's a lot more fun to out rebound teams.
Wonder what kind of effect the news of the weekend has on a kid like this?
Kids love our sponsorship and our coach, yes they love the conference, but the Jordan sponsorship and Buzz take us to where we are...Look at Houston's newest recruits, look at what Xavier does in recruiting. Everyone acting like the sky is falling has clearly forgotten that the best Marquette team in the last ten years was a C-USA team, and the recruits that we got that took us to the final four were recruited as C-USA players. With these schools saying forget basketball, it's all about football I think we tell our recruits that we have a focus on basketball and basketball alone. I think that in terms of what we have to offer as a program with our facilities, our history, and our coach we will not suffer in the recruiting world. IMO if I were a basketball player I would want to be at a school where I didn't have to play second fiddle to the football players.
Agree 100%,but we still need a strong conference affliation and it would be great to have an aggresive A.D.
I don't understand this talk of an athletic director. Cottingham was nothing but a figurehead and Wild was pulling all the strings in addition to many other at the University. Cottingham was simply doing their bidding. The real power will always lie with the President, and the many VP's at Marquette. A strong athletic director at an only basketball school has two chief responsibilities fundraising, and keeping our public image at its highest. The rest of the work is left to other individuals
So Bill Cords wielded hiring and departmental power but then Wild decided he wanted to be AD and hired Cottingham as a puppet?
I don't think you know Cottingham if you think he would just play the role of a puppet. All of our coaching hires during Cottinham's reign were young, recruiter types (Steve Bailey, Bond Shymansky, Buzz), in line with his philosophy.
Cottingham is not the reason we are in the Big East, he is not the reason we are where we are as a Program. Buzz was a risky hire and many people definitely did not agree with it...Let's be honest here you just named a girls volleyball coach. When it comes to MU none of us really give a dam about Girl's volleyball. Basketball is the dominant thing and most kids at the school, even fans can't even name our coaches besides Buzz. Father Wild, and Wade are the reason we're in the Big East. It has very little to do with a man who was hired internally from the OGC, and that had no prior experience.

Crean is the other reason why we were in the Big East. That will make people puke, but that is reality. No Crean, no Wade. No Wade, no Final Four.
Absolutely agree, I am not a huge Crean fan, but of course he was a huge factor in us joining the Big East
Just the thought of that used car salesman makes me puke.
Did I miss something Jhags.....where did anyone argue that Cottingham was the reason we are in the Big East?
