[color=yellow;]In an effort to jump start the fund-raising .. the six Cracked Sidewalks authors are issuing a 24 hour CHALLENGE and will match all donations up to a total of $600 smackers.[/color][color=yellow;">]

We're doing well, raising almost $2,500 to date, and $16k over the past 5 years. That puts us 19th on the leaderboard (http://www.firstgiving.com/alsmemorialrun/fundraisers). If WHEN the Challenge maxes out today, we'll crack the top 10.

$50 and $100 donations are super, but we wanna see some $19.77 donations, too. Or how about $30, the price of one lower bowl game ticket. You didn't want to see the big MU vs. Rhinelander Tech game anyhow.

NOTE: Apparently some time yesterday, the Firstgiving.com site started having problems with credit card processing. I would imagine they've fixed it by now .. but if you tried to donate yesterday and your card wouldn't go through .. try again, please!

The "challenge" was successful .. we raised far past the $600 figure, and hit $1600 in one day. THANK YOU!

Now on the front page of the leaderboard (10th overall), and only $120 from 9th position.

$5300 would place our donations at 6th.

Wow, the last day of fundraising has been quite the race. We're now at #12, and would need to get to $5024 to make it to the top #10.

Bumping this. We're less than $100 from 6th place right now. It's a big jump to get to 5th ($5400 compared to $7000 at 1:30AM on the 17th) (http://www.firstgiving.com/alsmemorialrun/fundraisers). 6th place this year would give us a great goal for next year, breaking into that top 5! :D
