This is the 2nd very good blog under the title Paint Touches in the trib. I haven't enjoyed an article in the Trib in years and suddenly this young man puts out two in a row. Good on him :)
Very nice article. Makes you appreciate Rob and the other walk-on's that much more. The Trib just hasn't been the same since Mike Murphy graduated.
Looks like the article is getting alittle national attention from Eamonn Brennan :) Great job Mark!

What I like about Strotty is that he is a perpetual source of angst and confusion amongst the greenies in South Bend:
Strotty comes from an extended family chock full of Notre Dame alums, yet if you read his stuff, he is clearly quite talented and intelligent.
Another "Paint Touches" with our own boys from Cracked Sidewalks contributing (along with someone from marquettehoops dot com along with a couple of University affiliated communicators) on the subject of MUBBall's freshman class

Some interesting predictions about who will end up contributing that consistent 5-10 minutes a game that Buzz tends to give freshman that aren't named Vander Blue :)
So what happened at the walk-on tryouts? Also, whats the team up to this month, individual workouts and pick-up games? When can Buzz get them together as a team? When is boot camp?
Can current and past players hang with a recruit this weekend? I guess I don't know much about NCAA rules and regs, but I'm really pumped about this year. GO WARRIORS!

From today's Paint Touches radio show (which you can listen to in parts http://blogs.marquettetribune.org/2011/09/16/paint-touches/paint-touches-with-wmur-sports-sept-16/ (http://blogs.marquettetribune.org/2011/09/16/paint-touches/paint-touches-with-wmur-sports-sept-16/)) a handful of players were called back for more evaluation, but no one has been taken yet.
