Title: The Big Three were on 1510AM tonight
Post by: MUEng92 on March 26, 2007, 07:41:56 PM
I caught part of a long interview with DJ, Jerel and Wesley on 1510 tonight.

Tony Smith was in the room too and was giving Jerel a hard time.  "How is it that the Big East Defensive Player of the Year can't guard me?"  Jerel said Tony was mistaking him for Wesley.

DJ said Indiana U. didn't recruit him.  I assume that was well known, but I didn't remember that.  He said Crean was the only one who told him what he wasn't good at while recruiting him.  Everyone else just told him what he was good at.

Wesley said his Mom had a big say in his decision on where to go to school and Crean was one of the few (if not only) who got her approval.

The host said he was going to ask DJ about the discussions of him going pro, but I lost the signal when 1510 went off at 7:00.  Even during the off-season, 1290 finds a way to completely piss me off.

Did anyone else hear the whole interview?

OT: Whenever Wesley spoke, the arm rest in my van actually vibrated.  Honest! Man, he has a deep voice.  He has a future as a DJ if bball doesn't work out.

It went until about 7:30.  Steve Haywood, the polish rifle Scotty Wisnewski and Tony Smith did the interview.

they talked about what there gonna do over the summer (get better, shot, shot, shot. and looking forward to playing hoops with the pro guys when they come back)

They all guaranteed crean will be back

DJ has tom crean talking to the decision makers and not the opinion sayers in regards to him turning pro.
