I've noticed the past few days, Juan Anderson seems to be up really late at night...until I see his tweets and realize he's up really early. Every day at 4:30 in the morning he's getting up to work out. I don't know if the entire team does this, but he's the only one tweeting at that time of morning.
This morning: Rise and Grind. Tired, but I'm bout to get it in
Yesterday: Rise and Grind.
Wednesday: 2 workouts already and 1 class done. And it's not even 9 yet! Anyway doe on my way to study hall.
Monday: @telliewellie I had to run at 4:30
This is part of the reason I'm so high on this kid. First, he absolutely loves Marquette. Paid his own way to come to Madness so he could try to convince other recruits to join him here and redesigned his high school uniforms to look more like Marquette's. And looking at his work ethic, it's crazy. Up at 4:30 every day to run and work out. He's going to be a star here.
That's awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I believe DJO has been doing this since he got back, and it looks like he is rounding the rest of them up.
Jae has tweeted a few times "rise and grind" too...must be a team training thing.
I like it. It's the old John Chaney strategy: if you make them get up early for practice/workouts then they're less likely to be out and about late at night.

I remember seeing quotes from Juan either when he committed or when he signed something to the effect of "My coach asked me to pick out new unis and I picked Marquette's style and now I'm going there."
And as far as multiple guys being up that early to train goes, it might not be voluntary. Let's be honest, it's the best time to know that they're all available together to be in the weight room.

Wish Buzz would go Chaney on Coach Cal.
Having watched Anderson and Wilson in the pro am, I believe when Wilson is a senior and Anderson is a junior we will have the best pair of passing forwards in college basketball. They both can distribute the ball and seem to like to do this.

Either way, you've got to love the idea that these guys are up at 4:30a to work out.

Or that they are so positive about it. My twitter would be something like: "Buzzie wans us their at by 4:30. SMH"
I fell in love with Juan Anderson watching him at the pro-am. This guy will be awesome at MU! You can tell he works hard! Keep on Keeping on Juan!
