Curious.

It's associated more popularly in college basketball with his successful KSU days.

I dont know..but its great to see his HOF induction.

Hank Raymonds' mentor at SLU, and at MU, Former MU coach Eddie Hickey is credited with originating the 3 man weave...the no dribble fast break we all practiced as kids...so Eddie originated, and Hank is close to a key BB innovation, too.

Does MU have any more ties to BB innovation?

One might say McGuire's word terminology itself was an innovation, still applied/used today.
Maybe his snub of the NCAA led to high seeders now being assured of games close to home.
Maybe his early support for player play/NBA early departure led to changes too.

Other innovations/game changers with MU ties?

SI article on Tex.  Tex picked up the triple post at USC under Coach Berry during his college playing days and refined it into his & principles of offense. Would be great if Murff chimed in here.
