anyone know how much you have to donate to mu in this group?
$18.81. ;D
/useless.
A cumulative $50,000. The designation is honorific, as is membership in the Archbishop Henni Society, which recognizes cumulative giving of $1,000,000.
cool. thanks. i couldn't find it online.
i noticed a lot of MU Board members were this category. I thought it would be higher. i guess the board members need to start giving more...or get asked to give more. 50k at my high school wouldn;'t get you on their board.

How is it you know or presume that the MU board members have given only $50k? Based on Jim Sawdust's benchmarks...all one could fairly guess is that they have given at least $50k, or more, and if they're not shown with also a membership in the Archbishop Henni Society, they have given less than one million. Even your high school would appreciate a $900k donor giving his time to serve on a board..
in Trustees bio's on the website, it list the giving society they are in.
F*ckin' just signed a bunch of IOU's. So he's good.

So they have lifetime giving between $50k and $1M. My guess is that all are well past the minimum threshold.
Anyone surprised that the bio of a certain high profile board member doesn't list him as a member of the 1881 Society? Or Archbishop Henni Society? Or President's Council?
What's it take to get on the President's Council?

Doc?
I feel like Doc gets a pass for sure.
I'm saying this with the full acknowledgement that I have no idea why Doc is on the board or not....but sometimes you put people on the Board because of the name versus because of the $$$.

My thoughts exactly.

Absolutely. I agree that it does happen and, more importantly,
should happen. The value of a high profile person on a board can often be more than the value of money contributed. That said, those people often also give a lot of money, and I was wondering if this surprised anyone that it wasn't listed.
And for the record, I absolutely don't mean to suggest that he's not generous (to Marquette or to other organizations). I have no idea. He may give more than everyone else combined, but just not have it listed in his bio.
Not too mention Doc is probably on the lower end of net worth in that list.
Not only is he on the lower end of the net worth on that list, but he is still relatively young - with college aged kids. He turns 50 later this year.
