Many have said in many places Kris Dunn, but I think I would still prefer a 5, even a project 5. I see Cadougan, DW, and TJ Taylor (and possibly Mayo) as able to run the point. True, a top 10 PG is awesome to have, I can't dispute that, but I think I would still like to see a big. Welcome aboard, Steve Taylor!
Mitch McGary, Kris Dunn, or Shaquille Cleare. Any of those would make me very happy.
What about Anthony Bennett? Aim high.
McGary or Dunn, nice choices, but I would have to go with McGary. Both fit needs and would bolster the team, but bigmen like McGary don't come around MU often.
Don't know why Cleare's name keeps on coming up. I have searched everywhere and could not find a mention to him being interested in MU.

We're in his final seven as of July 28.

Bennett also wouldn't be bad, but I hardly think McGary, Dunn, or Cleare are aiming low. McGary looks like a likely top-5, Dunn's recent ascent could push him into the top-10, while Cleare has consistently been ranked in the 15-30 range.
Plenty of high-level options, I just hope we get one of them.
Can we get Phillip Nolan to commit and turn him into our C? That may be aiming low for some but I think it's a good fit.
Our front court will be solid for 4 years with Nolan and Taylor.
My dream would be to add Dunn and either Cleare or McGary. We should absolutely over-sign by 1. If we don't then I'd like to see Dunn slightly ahead of the 2 C's. My reason being that I think the 2012/2013 season is our best chance at a return to the final four and we'll already have 2 upperclassmen at C but a backup for Cadougan the caliber of Dunn would put us over the top.
I want Dunn. Besides that, I think we will oversign by one.
Another big would be nice. If I was buzz I would shoot for the best player available in the Top 30, whoever it is. Might
as well shoot for the moon. One of these days he may land one but if you do not try, you for sure have no chance. Having
12 players in 2 years is fine, not enough time for 13 players anyway. Taylor reminds me of Carlton Scott of ND. Can replace
Crowder in 2 years. Long arms, needs one year under the MU tutelage in the weight room. OTule, Wilson, Taylor, Cadougan
and (Blue, Taylor, and Mayo) will fight for the last spot. Add Anderson and Gardner, MU, will make MU pretty deep. The wild
card might be Jamil Jones.
an "aircraft carrier"!! give em hell al
I'd have to think a solid post player would be the top priority as there is not a ton of size in the pipeline right now. I would take Dunn over anyone besides a highly rated big but would be thrilled with either of those.
And remember...we have a *long* way to go in this class. It might be 7-8 months before it's determined how we use that last scholarship - and all sorts of stuff can happen between now and then....decommits, transfers...

Jucos
Would love to see Buzz add a highly ranked 5!
Guards that we are projected to have in 12-13....Cadougan, Wilson, Mayo, Ferguson, Taylor, Blue
Forwards...Anderson, Wilson, Taylor, Jones
Bigs: Otule, Gardner.
Give me a 5, even if he is a project.

I understand. Any anyone who saw us struggle at times last year probably has a new appreciation of the importance of good (or even great) PG play. I think Junior will be that stud PG by then and think the need for a 5, even a developmental one, is greater. But if we were to pick up a PG, I would want Dunn.

Is Dunn really a superstar? i haven't seen him ranked higher than 40. to me that's not a superstar...
Anyway, our last schollie has to be a 1 or 5. has to.

In other words, a non-switchable.
It's a good thing the student section isn't in charge of recruiting, otherwise the last schollie would probably go to Wanaah Bail. :D

Unless there is a Magic Johnson or Lamar Odom clone that Buzz and Co. are scouting and we don't know about him!

Definitely agree that the last 2012 scholarship should go for a 1 or 5. Dunn's stocked has soared since many of the recruiting rankings were done months ago. He played great this summer, and many feel he is now a Top 10-20 talent.

Dunn is a definite 1, and I'd be floored if he wasn't top-25 when the next rankings come out. If he's top-10, it wouldn't surprise me at all.
Why hasn't dunn visited? Is he interested?
He cannot do an Official until he starts his SR year of High School. Otherwise he has to pay his own way. Right now is when Schools are in the process of setting up Visits for early fall.

That's awesome. I've heard nothing but glowing reviews but didn't realize he was blowing up that much. Let's get him...or a 5.

While I'd still choose a dominant big man if both were available, a true PG is what MU is going to be missing after Cadougan graduates. JC is really the only true PG on the roster. Sure, there are other guys who
can play the point, but none of them are natural PGs.
The reason I'd still choose a big is because, it's much easier to slide a SG over to run the point (see: Dwight Buycks) than it is to slide a 6'6" guy into the middle as a center (see: just about every "big" MU has had since Robert Jackson).
