Okay...so every now and then, I do a search for all results of "Marquette" on Twitter, hoping to find some new info. Sometimes it works, more often there's nothing of note, but the past two days, it seems like literally hundreds of tweets are coming from posters with bikini-clad women as their avatar, and every one is saying the same thing:
"I'm watching those asses run around & bounce in those Marquette yellow shorts"
Does anyone have any idea what this is? If you do a Twitter search for all results of "Marquette yellow", you'll see literally hundreds if not more tweets all saying the same thing. Anyone have any idea what the deal is with this?

I've wondered the same thing.
PRN and the Mrs. just arrived at the Flying Pig in Algoma and are rocking out to some Old Crow while doing some shopping for "quaintables". Quite the scene for the DC touristas and residents alike.

Seems like most of the profiles have 0-4 followers, though there are some with 15-20. Wonder if someone is just mass producing Twitter accounts. If it's a way to get the name out there and get recruits to consider us...well, it might be unconventional, but hey, whatever works, right? ;D
Okay...after looking more at these profiles, I think Marquette just managed to get into some advertising scheme. It looks like each profile spits out random tweets, but every 5-15 tweets has an add for a free iPad, or Best Buy/Victoria's Secret Gift Card, or some other spammy advertisement.
As I looked at all the profiles, I noticed a lot of other tweets that were the same but in different profiles. I think that whomever created them has a bank of tweets they use to make the profile look "real". The one about the Marquette yellow shorts seems to be one of those tweets designed to make the profiles look authentic.
Well...I guess adding a bit of sex appeal, even if it's a complete scam, to our brand isn't a bad thing.
