I can't believe how many calls the refs give this guy... Hansborough is amazing at making it look like he was fouled, wow does he just flail, just something I am noticing as I am watching the Georgetown UNC game
agreed. makes u wonder why Roy went with Ellington's J as time expired in regulation. silly roy
GT beat UNC off the glass in the last 10 minutes of the game and overtime----must have secured 15-20 straight defensive boards as UNC was one and done. For all its talent UNC is a horrible defensive team----one on one position defense was terrible----but as bad asUNC'st was, Florida's was worse!
Didnt see the game, but FTs kept NC in the game - They shot 35%, but had a 29-12 FT advantage.
Man, I wish a fully loaded MU team could play UNC
In my opinion the officiating was terrible. Honestly, it didn't get any better until the Georgetown fans starting booing near the end of the first half, then they finally let them play. That being said though, it didn't look good for awhile. UNC may be a poor defensive team but when you run like they did you can kind of cover up those short comings. (Hibbert looked tired running up and down so much) Once Georgetown started to finally rebound defensively and realized that they can control the tempo of the game they were able to pull it out. Should be a good one between OSU and Georgetown, they play similar styles.
In an unrelated topic: Who else has been annoyed with the amount of TV, official, and team timeouts this tournament? Is it just me or does it seem like every 10 seconds within the last 3 minutes of a half there's another commercial break? The end of the UNC Georgetown game had like 3 or 4 timeouts in a span of 20-30 gametime seconds...SO IRRITATING!! And don't even mention the end of the Texas A&M - Memphis game where they spent about 10 minutes looking at the last play to determine that there's 2.0 seconds left.
Yes, the commercials are rather overwhelming. These games are taking forever.
The thing that struck me most about this game was how much quicker UNC was than Georgetown. They got a lot of points just by beating Georgetown down the floor. Once Georgetown gained control of the defensive boards, they took control of the game.
Hansborough does flail and everything, but I would love to have a guy like that on MU. Big, talented and a relentless worker. I'd rather have Goergetown's Green, but I'll go to battle with Hansborough any time.
Hansborough has the same bug-eyed look that Jason Giambi has after a steroid binge. And that mouth guard he wears makes it look like he's missing teeth.

Plus, he hits FTs!

Whew - I wasn't the only one that though he must have had a few teeth knocked out after that nose-punching incident. Though they said he was going to have to have some dental work done in the off-season due to that...
Along the lines of the TV production...does anyone else think that CBS doesn't show as many instant replays as they used to? They never seem to replay questionable calls or plays anymore. The only replays they show are the ones that have been packaged to show dunks, with flashing lights, etc.
That is really annoying to me.

Yep,
I was looking to see alot of replays for some of those early fouls they kept calling on Georgetown but all they kept showing were the dunks. In particular near the end of the first half when they whistled G'town for, what appeared to me, to be a clean strip of Hansbrough. They didn't show that but as they cut away for yet another commercial they should the rebound dunk by UNC.
It sure seemed like NC shot themselves out of game in last ten minutes. The long shots led to no off. rebounds and therefore no putbacks.
