Title: Maui Tickets
Post by: MUBasketball on March 24, 2007, 11:36:02 AM
Does anybody know the process of getting tickets for the Marquette games in Maui? Planning on going, not sure how to get them.

This is what Marquette told me. Paul McInerny is the chief athletic advancement officer.

I'm going to maui, but don't want to do the package. I'm thinking of taking my chances and scalping a ticket.

Peter,

As of right now we do not anticipate having tickets available through
the athletic office for the Maui.  Each team gets a small allotment and
we fully anticipate using those for team family members.  I think the
Classic says that on its website in case some teams don't use their
allotment.

Otherwise, tickets have to be purchased as part of a package that we
are
offering through Premiere Sports Travel on our website
(gomarquette.com).  The Maui Classic only sells tickets through
packages
-- my guess is that is how they get their local sponsorships.

Thanks for your interest and hope you can make it there.  Let me know
if
there's anything else I can help you with from athletics.

Sincerely,

Paul McInerny

Going all the way to Maui in hopes of scalping. Ballsy. Of course, even if you can't find a ticket, you're still in Maui, so maybe not all that ballsy after all  ;D

Anyone got a package yet?  I'd imagine they have a package for people from Milwaukee, a charter plus hotel .. but what if you're coming from outside of Wisconsin?  Or already have a place to stay on Maui?

.. As a side note, we'd fully expected to go until .. we became parents 8 months ago and realized man, it's tough toting an infant around!  Now, not so sure.

We bought them at gomarquette.com.  We're in california, so we were able to buy a package that did not include air fare (accomadations and tickets only)
