Title: Stating the (maybe not so...) obvious.
Post by: MUCam on March 23, 2007, 11:17:18 PM
I cannot stand Billy Packer and his complete inability to admit when he is wrong. He is so full of himself, that he argues even in the face of insurmountable proof to the contrary. Did you hear him actually argue that he didn't think the Green travel was a travel at the end of the Georgetown game?

I cannot believe I am about to say this, but I would rather have a trio broadcasting crew of John Madden, Lee Corso and Dick Vitale do a college basketball game than Billy Packer with anyone.

That ends this mini-rant.

As much as I hate to say it, I would take Packer over Vitale any day.  At least Packer watches the game and analyzes it, even in his arrogant way.  Vitale just hypes up the coaches and himself and does his shtick.

You'll probably enjoy that story then by Simmons. Just read the 2nd paragraph....I couldn't believe it.
