I don't know if anyone just watched that game...but how did 1.1 seconds go off the clock at the end of the game? Horrible call by the refs on that one.
Because the ball didn't bounce out of bounds right away. It bounced in bounds and then bounced out of bounds. It was the right call. The announcers never saw it. But it was plainly obvious on tv.
That still wasn't 1.1 seconds, all he did was tip it, the ball was moving pretty quickly. 1 second is a lot of time and I don't think that much time passed. I didn't agree with the announcers that it was only .2 or .1 seconds but it didn't seem like 1.1. And how many games does this make now since the conference tournaments that have had timing problems?
Thats still an awfyully short 1.1 seconds. Probably more like 3/10 of a second to 2.8...?
I think 2.5 came off.
Really tough call to make.
Watch the replay again. Time how much time came off between bounces. It was a second.
A&M missed a FT in the last minute (by their best shooter), blew a layup (by their best player) and failed to claim a defensive rebound 3 times in a row.
what a choke
When is the ball officially out of bounds? When it crosses the line in the air, or when it hits something out of bounds? If it's the latter, then I would agree that it was closer to one second.
It definitely was, but it still sucks that they can't even be given a fair chance because of a judgment call. If that was MU would you be fine with it?

Judgement calls are part of the game. The ball didnt hit the sideline after it was initially touched......the clock runs. Shoulda never come to that.

the clock runs until the ball touches something out of bounds.
Ok, well that makes more sense then, cause then it definitely took a while til it hit the table.
