I realize that not too many people will care about hockey on a bball message board.
That being said, Who do people see making the finals and winning the cup?
I'm think the Bolts make it there in six games over Boston and the Wings finish the comeback and beat the Predators in five.
Wings over Bolts in six.
Bruins fans here...think this series depends on when and if Patrice Bergeron comes back from his concussion. Dude is a puck hawk, and a rookie will have to replace him, Tyler Seguin who has played 0 minutes in the playoffs thus far. The Bolts speed and trap concern me, very similar to the Habs.
With PB back, Boston in 6, without Bergeron Bolts in 7.
Game 7 Wings Sharks tonight. Avid Wings fan here, can't believe we were able to get this thing to 7. Honestly thought it was over in Game 5 when the Sharks went up 3-1. I predict Wings come out just as hungry as they were Game 6 and San Jose can't match. 4-2 Wings.

I can easily see Niemi having a very soft game and even maybe getting pulled. But I have been wrong before.
Even though it is in SJ, I don't see any way for Niemi to make 40 saves again. If Detroit can sustain, they roll.
I'm hoping SJ...I have a vested interest in them for a number of reasons (brother in law is a season ticket holder being one).
If not SJ, anyone but Detroit so I'll cheer hard for Vancouver. Hoping for Boston from the East
GO DUCKS (in 2012)
WINGS.
Go Sharks go
gonna be rough without Bertuzzi and Cleary.
Great game and great series...unfortunate it has to come to an end.

More to come...there is NOTHING better in sports than playoff hockey.

The BEast Tourney? March Madness?
Maybe you meant pro sports, but even then I'd rather watch the NFL playoffs. I'd agree that the NHL has the best increase in quality from regular season to playoffs, and even a casual fan can get wrapped up, but nothing tops March Madness for intensity in a short period.
For me it's NHL playoffs. Love it. I put March Madness a close second
For the NFL, sure it's great but having been to a number of Superbowls the crowd at the game generally blows. Very corporate and often a mild rooting interest by those in attendance. I've been to three Stanley Cups and nothing has come close to comparing the energy of those experiences.
March Madness combined with all the conference tournaments and then the NHL Playoffs
Wings almost got it done with 3 of their top 6 forwards out for a majority of the game. Shifting my allegiance to the Bolts. I wouldn't complain if Stevie Y gets another cup.
Western Conference hockey is wack.
Get ready for some pain.

With Bergeron out for a couple games do you like the Bruins' chances?

LOL. I'd say western conference hockey is pretty good, especially the Pacific Division.
GO DANY!!! Way to beat 'em, Sharks!!
Playoff hockey is incredible in person. Some day the Wild may get back there. Perhaps not. For this year, I hope Heatley gets to raise the Cup.
I went to the NCAA national championship game this year as well (MN-Duluth vs Michigan).. that got fun in the third, but nothing like the NHL...
