Not really. Faust would be great, but I think that Chris Bryant and one of the 2012 bigs would be a better fit for our needs. Still would really, really like Olu Ashaolu, however. Until he signs elsewhere, I think he should be Buzz's top priority.

Never leave a schollie unfilled as long as you can get a solid contributor.
Ashaolu and Faust are priorities 1 & 1A.  Faust is way too good not to pursue, and Ashaolu is very good and fills an immediate need.

Worry about 2012 once 2011 is FILLED.  Spots will always open on a top 15 team, because everyone that signs believes they are worthy of playing right away.  But, not all do.  It is a byproduct of having a contending program.  A good problem to have.

Why don't you guys at least wait until Faust reopens before spending time dreaming about him?

He will probably end up staying at Maryland.

Olu is at the NBA draft combine in New Jersey this weekend, so he won't realistically decide for a bit if he wants to return to the NCAA's.

Am I the only one who would not be offended if we recruit someone over Mayo?

Not at all. Now -- more than before -- we need a 4.

Why would you say that?  Ever seen him play?

If you assume that everyone on this board is a 15 year old using their parent's computer it's a lot less frustrating reading comments like the one you quoted.

That being said, I'm pumped for Mayo to play in an MU uniform :)

You do realize that Mayo was the leading scorer on the 2nd best prep team in the country,  right?  A team that has several DI talents,  including top 15 in the NATION Richard Ledo.  He also absolutely destroyed teams in the national tourney.  Mayo is being underestimated.  He was about as dominant as a player can be at that level.  A level MUCH higher than any high school conference.

No player, including Mayo, should expect playing time.  Each player must earn playing time by proving he is the best player.  There is no such thing as being recruited over.
