Looks like he has an offer. I would much rather get a player like this than sign another point guard in this class.

Found an old thread from last fall that started off about Bryant and went downhill to the usual bickering.
http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=21834.0
Looks like we have been on him for awhile and that he is on the high side of the 3 star ranking. Would probably not play much next year while working out in the weight room big time. At this point, that is likely what we are going to get...overlooked with potential upside...like Davante was last year.
Bryant would be a real good recruit. Hope he signs soon.
Rankings do not mean much, just look at Gardner. Sure he could he be stronger, but his playing time will be determined on how well he can play defense and learn the offensive schemes.
Does anyone have any video of him playing? I couldn't find anything anywhere.
All 3 of the recruiting services have him as a different weight, and ESPN has him an inch taller than the other 2...Gotta love how accurate ESPN is sometimes...I think a project post player is great. I am all for it. Get him Buzz.
It would make sense to add an athletic 6'7" rebounder to replace Fulce...
Bryant replaces Fulce
Mayo replaces Buycks
D. Wilson replaces R. Smith
J. Wilson replaces Butler
Juan Anderson replaces Fulce.
This kid is the spitting image of Donyell Marshall.
lots of good Bigs in the 2012 class. Rivals had 50 PF and C in the final 150 compared to 58 in 2012. 2012 is a very deep class for Bigs so this might not be the year to reach for a PF or C.

Juan Anderson replaces Fulce.
I hope Juan is better than Joe.

I wonder if he has Donyell Marshall's 7'7" wingspan.
Damn, I hope we can beat out Houstion for this kid.
Houstion isn't even division I, are they?
Wait, a minute, Houstion isn't even a school!
I'm giving 6.5 months as the over/under on how far out of date the Scouthoops listing is.
Bryant is a big 6'8". Anderson will replace Jimmy, not Fulce.
Well, my contention is that Jamil Wilson will take Jimmy's starting spot next year in the lineup next to Crowder, so Anderson may see Fulce type minutes.
From watching some video of Chris Bryant, he may be 6-8, but he's probably in the 200 pound range, so I wouldn't characterize him as big.
The only way I take Chris Bryant in this class is if Erik Williams would have to medically redshirt next year because of his shoulder and I don't think that's in the plan next year at this point.
Thanks Ted. Good stuff. I agree it would be better to sign a taller, stronger big!
Time yo just bank the scholarship, late in the signing period and it seems Buzz is on a lot
of 2012 kids. Go for quality, not quantity. If they get lucky and get York, they will need
a big to step in to start for Crowder in 2 years. Seniors like to hear they have a chance to
start right away, look at St. Johns.

What does banking the scholarship get Marquette?
There's no reason not to take a flyer on a young man. If he doesn't work out then we can easily free up the scholarship for the 2012 season.

I could see Bryant coming in and working on his game and bulking up for next year while Crowder plays the majority of the minutes at PF, and EW fills in as well. Then in 12-13, EW would get the majority of the minutes at PF and Bryant would back him up. Then hopefully Bryant is ready to step in by his Jr. year and be a major contributor.
Did 4 pages of this thread just get tossed? Nice work Mods!!
The rants and raves were split off from this "Chris Bryant" thread and can now be found in the superbar with the drunks.
