Let's hope MU doesn't have a program set up like this for recruiting. Wow.

Anyone get a little squirmy reading that?
I'm guessing it goes on more in today's world than it did back in the day (early 80's). Rumor is that hummers aren't that big of a deal for a lot of girls now....more so than it used to be. Maybe the younger crowd could confirm this. Either way, it's not what should be set up by coaches to show recruits a "good time".
Doesn't say if the chick was any good in the area of hospitality. While PC has gotten a few players, it wasn't enough to save Davis' job.

Yep. And it's a good warning about how a series of events can lead to a situation where a university president can feel compelled to take action to make a point. I'm not saying that the things we've heard about are as serious as the events at Providence (certainly not the VB incident...not to sure about what is alleged with the other), but like others have said, if there continue to be incidents eventually something will have to be done.
I thought Peterson was the best player MU faced in 2009-2010. He was a beast.
Also, why in God's name would a kid tell his mommy that he got a hummer? Really?

perhaps the kid had a moral code, felt peer pressured then did not feel right about it as a definition of a good time.
Me personnally, I would have demanded a return visit, but, these are kids and maybe his conscience told him something was not right and he spoke up.....good for him.
That brings me to a minimally related MU subject...I remember in the day when, as freshman, we would be asked to host a visiting high school student who had interest in MU. I was at McCormick and I remember getting absolutely plastered with these kids. Glad none of them told mommy.....wow, some of the stories.
I hope Davis got a Hummer before he left.
I would not want a recruit at Marquette that would run and tell his mother that he got a blowjob. What a total homo. And why in the hell would the Mom be "enraged?"
Sounds like some reverse Oedipal issues to me.
looks like SoCal will have a new picture for the famous Providence alumni thread with the blossoming porn star. ;D

Yeah, they are pretty neat cars/trucks. Maybe Buzz can take this guy as a transfer.
Honestly, nothing surprises me anymore in regards to recruiting.
I was under the impression that this kind of stuff was kind of common. Not the norm by any means, but I'm having a hard time becoming enraged over it.
Ricky Ledo was that 2012 recruit...He committed and then bailed. I went to High School with kid before he went prep. Class A A** Hole. If he had gone to PC something wouldve happened there again and he'd be gone. PC is truly a poster child for players getting kicked off for idiotic moves. Duke Mondy was nearly kicked off this year for Sexual Assault, but it was found to be a lesser offense.
Kids are Kids, so they are friends, want to go out and have a good time. The problem lies with the coaching staff saying to players "go out and show him a good time."
It is more and more common for players to house recruits on their official visits. Its not like the players are going super far out of their way to show recruits a good time. Chances are this is a regular thing at PC and schools all across the country.
Can someone dig up a pic of said lady so we can chime in if it may have been worth showin' your junk for.

I don't know...there are just elements to this story that are just hard to swallow.
Not for Providence's finest "aspiring porn star".
Do people actually believe MU is above this? The coaches didn't tell the players to go get him a hummer, they just said show him a good time. I would bet the farm it happens all the time at MU, squirmy as it may be.
There are girls at MU who want to be porn stars too and everyone knows who they are.

Does this not happen (with varying degrees of success) to every person that ever visited friends at college? College party, college girls. That's a college visit.

Oh, yeah? Well start naming names and phone numbers, bucko, and we'll check into that.
I think this is where the experience of the older players come into play. Blue is two months into his college career and made a poor choice. The question I have is why DJO did not stear him away form trouble. Of course DJO had only been on campus for slighly more than a year. Maybe that is the problem with recruiting junior college players. Not that they are bad people, it is the fact that you do not have four college players telling the new guys that some thnings just are not smart.
