Anybody have an update now that the tourney is over?
Final numbers.....
ACC 8-4 (66.7%, 3 Sweet 16, 1 Elite Eight)
Mid Majors 19-14 (57.6%, 5 Sweet 16, 2 Elite Eight, 2 Final Four)
SEC 7-5 (58.3%, 2 Sweet 16, 1 Final Four)
Big East 13-10 (56.5%, 2 Sweet 16, 1 Final Four, National Champ)
PAC-10 5-4 (55.6%, 1 Sweet 16, 1 Elite Eight)
Big Twelve 5-5 (50%, 1 Sweet 16)
Big Ten 7-8 (46.7%, 1 Sweet 16)
Small Schools 3-17 (15%)
Big East held their own quite honestly. Big Ten was the worst performing by nearly every measure.
Posted the 3-year totals as well on crackedsidewalks after the tourney. Over 3 years acc has averaged 6 teams and 60 percnet wins, while big east has averaged 9 teams and a 2nd best 60 percent.other bcs conferences are all in the 50s and midmajors at 46 percent.
To be able to hold these percentages despite going deeper in the conference for supposedly lesser teams is what setsthe big east apart. I don't think indiana or uva would have gone sweet 16 so there would have been a lot of 0-1 marks added on if other conferences had more bids.
Big 10 had 2 sweet 16 teams

Yep, Ohio State and Wisconsin
Always glad to see the Big Ten exposed as what they are, an over-rated conference.

Agree whole-heartedly. I would throw in the word "grossly" in front of over-rated.
