The new Airbus A380 just landed outside my office....holy crap is that thing huge. It's a flying whale.
Can you imagine how long it would take to deplane off this thing? Some versions will carry 800 people, the one that just landed here at LAX holds 550.

Looks like it's big enough to take all the traveling MU faithful to Kahului Airport and the Lahaina Civic Center in November.
Book us a charter will 'ya.
Check out some of the interior pictures that have been put in the few that are in the air already.

Chicos, your office is right next to a runway???? I thought DirecTV would have nicer digs than that???? ;D[
We were owned by Hughes before being sold off. Howard Hughes owned all of the stuff around the airport but now it's us and mostly defense contractors (Boeing on one side, Raytheon on the other and Northrup Grumman behind us). Watching that JetBlue plane land with the bum front landing gear last year was kind of fun.
The location is great...2 minute from the beach, 1 minute to get on a plane ... I can't complain. Beats working downtown or Century City.
;)

Could you even see the thing above 500 ft? Smog was pretty thick out there last Friday. ;D
And it's already a dinosaur. Can you say "Concorde"? It's an engineering feat for sure but also service to backward European socialist thinking. I'll take the 787 any day of the week.
I work near O'Hare, our office building is on line with planes making the approach from the west, and this "thing" just flew over. It is a monster in size!
Dish...here is the article about the trip near your office...in the Journal Sentinel

It's mammoth.
PS No smog yesterday, windy and rainy clears it right out.
