Lots of rumor and innuendo swirling around out there about Buzz. Spent 20 minutes alone with him after #MUBB's loss tonight.
He did not sound like a man who's looking to leave. In fact, talks between he and #MUBB about his deal could begin as soon as this weekend.
"I have now completed three seasons as head coach at MU. I have worked under three different contracts."
"I anticipate, if I can sleep between now and open of business on Monday, that on Monday we'll begin to work on the fourth contract."
"Is it gonna happen on Monday? I don't think so. I can tell you this: from the bottom to the top...I have great confidence in them."
"I think they feel the same way about me. And no amount of money, no years of service, no anything else that goes into a contract...""...means more to me than that."
Refreshing.
More Buzz "I have great comfort about where I'm at personally and where I'm at professionally. I have unbelievable confidence..." #MUBB
"...and faith in the upper administration at MU. And that's not going to change, regardless of my emotional level..." #MUBB
"...from just getting whipped in the Sweet 16. I think that our future is bright." #MUBB
I believe Buzz to be an exceptionally honorable man. For that reason I expect him to return and be a stable part of the basketball program for years. The only thing i ask is that he add some assistance in fashioning the program. We have two big guys who may lack some athleticism but can help win games. Our defense was substandard. Get some help adapting to some players with skills that haven't been maximized.
I am excited about where this program will be in five years with Buzz at the helm. Sure, he has some things to learn but I feel we got a special coach on our bench.
Some good news out of a bad night for MU
Newark, N.J. -- Now that the Marquette Golden Eagles' season is over, the coaching carousel will kick into high gear.

A lot of positive things to say. Just bizarre that he goes on and on and still refuses to just come and say he isn't going anyway. Still leaves himself with way out. Well played. Cops always say guilty people tend to go on and on when asked simple questions.
Buzz stay at Marquette!

Can we allow the man some negotiating leverage!?! It looks pretty clear to me he is not leaving.
