Gardner is showing some heart.
There are some bright spots for the future:
Gardner will keep developing and may really be something for us as a scoring post presence.
Jamil Wilson will fill in for Butler nicely (from all reports)
Crowder and DJO will be seniors next year and have no excuses not to be major players in the BEast.
Junior showed nice development throughout the year. Not sure if he is THE answer at point guard but I am a lot more optimistic than I was earlier in the year.
OTule is still a work in progress but he has alos developed. His ceiling may be approaching but he is better than I thought.
EW and JJ are sill largely unkowns....perhaps another year will help them develop.
Vander...we need you to step it up, big time, over the summer.
Good recruits on the way.
Buzz is probably staying....we need the continuity.
Agreed....it's a good thing Buzz is staying for stability. He can learn and build (through recruiting more length #1) from this game.
Too bad they didn't zone earlier.

N sh#t....where was some of this in the first half? Mixing it up may have helped stop it from getting out of control so badly.
Agreed. Also, they should have went to Gardner earlier.
Gardner has got a beautiful skill set on the offensive edge, he knows how to edge his defender over a couple inches using his lower body.
Good effort in the second half. Some pride out there which is good to see. I like Crowder jawing with the Carolina forward as well. Could have laid down but they didn't which is great to see.

That's the hard ass playing we saw in the first two games
Not that it would change the ultimate outcome, but some scent officiating would be nice.
Decent. Stupid iphone

Gardner has some of that natural talent that cannot be tought. Excited to see how good he will be next year after they condition him over the summer.
I think Gardner runs his mouth too much and still has a long way to go. We turned the ball over many a time tonight throwing the ball in to him. When he had the ball he missed some good chances to kick the ball out. He feels a bit like a black hole sometimes. Yes, he scores from the post a few times a game, but I feel like he has hurt us as much as he has helped us this year. The good news is he has time to learn and mature.
someone make sure the ox gets some head tonight. marquette dance team better step up

+1
but then again, I'm drunk.
Gardner has potential. Glad he is a Freshman. Still makes many bonehead fouls. But one can certainly see the potential.
