Title: Lunch hour not what I expected
Post by: MUEng92 on March 25, 2011, 12:33:32 PM
I just spent my 30 minute "lunch hour" entirely on MU Scoop.  Note that MU's first Sweet 16 game in 8 years tips off in under 7 hours.  I did not read one single post on the game that is actually going to be played SIX HOURS FROM NOW!!!!

I have read many opinions of people regarding what happened last night to a different team and what that team has or hasn't done in the last 1-0-20 years.  I read many opinions on what may happen with our coach early next week.

Not one post on what is going to happen in SIX HOURS FROM NOW!!!!!

What a freaking waste of my lunch hour!

I am extremely pumped up for the game. I am watching the game at home with my wife and kids. Once we win I am taking my wife down to the MU bars to get disorderly and possibly drunk. I'll be the old guy buying drinks for the patrons.

I'm sure the kids would like to go as well.

Old guys in the MKE area should throw down for a party for the students if we win.

Drop kegs off every 100ft on Wells?

Somehow you need the indoor sprinklers to go off for your indoor baseball game for the rain out. I'll let you decide how that happens since I'd rather avoid any felony charges.

Ditto - I'll be in the gym watching the game on my cellphone while my kids perform in the Wizard of Oz.  I may have to apologize in advance to the people sitting around me for suddenly yelling "Oh come on ref!" and "Yes!" during the show.

I hope you have occasion to yell the latter far more frequently than the former.

I know we are going to win.  How? Because we are 3 and 0 when Yubi the Yeti comes.

Will be at Scooters in Las Vegas.

Rawdog--Wish I were in Vegas. I think with your confidence a money line wager might be in order.

I'm going to bed soon. Will wake up in 4 hours to watch the game. At 2:00am. I live in Uganda.

That said, I will admit to being very, very tempted to stay up and stay on the computer tracking the discussion until tip off. Not a good idea, seeing that I need to be able to function tomorrow. Not a good idea for my liver.

How about if I pledge to do that next Saturday, for the Final Four, if MU is there?!

Good night and go MU!!

Be careful, it was over 10 years ago and they ended calling me 'the old guy puking in the bathroom'. not one of my finer moments.
