It's been mentioned on a few newscasts already tonight.
In contrast, Roy Williams ended a not-intense UNC practice 15 minutes early.
poop,
This is how Buzz operates, go hard or go home. We'll see we've had 5 days in between hopefully we've got the rest/work ratio right.
No it won't. We practice hard everyday, why stop now.
What does Buzz do in the practice the day before every other game? Is this different?
They practiced hard for 45 minutes...they'll recover.
Practice ended 30+ hours before tip tomorrow....they'll be fine.
Hope you guys are right. I've just been hearing so much about UNC's incredible transition game and I want MU to have every bit of energy at their disposal.
BTW, did anyone hear about the guy who does thousands of computer simulations and UNC came out on top in 55% of them, which isn't that high, really. UW is supposed to go to the final four according to him. He was on 540AM this morning.
It will be an issue for those who are critical of everything Buzz does when we lose. The other 98% of the fanbase doesn't give a hoot.
Poopy......so negative tonight. Why don't you have a beer and and relax.

Roy needs to get to bed early. He is old.

Why are you discussing UW on an MU blog? That's just bad taste. Go back to your Badger buddies and take a class next semester that teaches respect. Until then, you're classless.
I can't say I know what Roy's pregame routine is, but he may be sending a message to his guys that this game is not as important as others. They don't need to practice, because they will handle lowly Marquette.
Fine by me.
Roy has traditionally gone light from the sweet 16 on....wants to save legs because of short turnaround and all the media hoopla and distractions that also keeps the team from a normal rest schedule.
Original poster is a troll, everyone stop paying attention to him.
I think it's an incredibly poor and naive argument to say that a hard practice 24+ hours before a game will be the main reason we lose. How could you not think they're conditioned to do this after they've been doing it for 4 months.

Also, with as hard as these kids work
all the time, I'm not sure they would consider a 45 minute practice...no matter how intense...a particularly "hard" practice.
Not to mention, they had a hard practice on 5AM on New Year's Day...and had a 10AM tip.
More and more coaches are moving in that direction I think. You don't see a lot of them go easy like ole Roy does anymore.
They handled playing two games in less than 24 hours pretty good, I am pretty sure they can handle a hard practice 30 hours before tip.

+1
Hey poopyscoopy... that is the whole point. Grit and hard work vs. "talent" and "privilege." We will find out in about 7 hours which approach wins... Regardless, you stick with what got you there.
