Apparently this is not the only place where how good your coach is depends upon your most recent game.
Syracuse fan is all over Hall of Fame coach Jim Boeheim. Apparently Boeheim "was outcoached again" by Buzz, "is a great recruiter but not much of a game coach" and "underacheives with the talent level he has every year". Also notable that his high scoring offense may attract a certain type of player who may be somewhat uncoachable (probably described on this board as NOT "traditional").
I really hope Buzz stays several more years, but there's always gonna be criticism!

The ironic thing is that the guys on this board who level some of the same absurd criticisms at Buzz would be the first to acknowledge how unfair the Syracuse fans are being to Boeheim.
I never much cared for Baywhine, but you cannot argue with his results. What does he have: about 800 wins, about 25 plus 20 win seasons, a ton of Beast championships, and an NCAA championship?
Not bad for a guy that has stayed in one place!!!
OMG, and in his first 3 years in the BE, Boeheim had the program in a "downward spiral"
Season Team Overall Conference Standing Postseason
1979–80 Syracuse 26–4 5–1 T–1st NCAA Sweet Sixteen
1980–81 Syracuse 22–12 6–8 6th NIT Runner-up
1981–82 Syracuse 16–13 7–7 T–5th NIT Second Round
They should have known better and cut their losses then.
