SVP says Buzz looks like Curly from the Three Stooges.

Wow...First Take yesterday. Mike & Mike this morning. Van Pelt this afternoon. PTI this evening.
Go get 'em, Buzz.
Doesn't Van Pelt have some kind of Wisconsin or Marquette connection? I seem to remember him referencing Schroeder Hall or McCormick Hall in Marquette highlights on SportsCenter.

I don't think he has any solid connection - hometown, school, etc. He's a Maryland alumnus. I know he really likes Madison - probably from all the time he spends with Andy North on golf coverage? Perhaps you are thinking of John Anderson? He's a Wisconsin guy who frequently uses local anecdotes.
Agree on quality of interview. Good pub!
Yeah you're right. I was thinking of John Anderson.

Anderson is from Green Bay and does frequently reference hallmarks throughout the state.
Anything interesting?

He loves Madison as a college town. He attended the Wisconsin/OSU football game this past season and raved about it being one of the best game experiences he's attended in person. He also has mentioned just how much he likes the sports fans and people overall in the state of Wisconsin.
IMO Van Pelt and his sidekick Ryen Russillo have the best show on ESPN radio.

Not really. Same stuff we have heard him say many times before, but new to SVP.
All 16 coaches are doing their SMT...called Satellite Media Tours right now. Part of the gig when you get this far. The one advantage we have is that Buzz's quirkiness is newsworthy and that helps the demand for his interviews over the same old guard like Roy Williams, Coach K, etc.

Katz just said again on the college basketball show on ESPN that while Buzz's name is in play, he is happy at Marquette and may not be going anywhere. The domino that scares me most right now is if Turgeon leaves Texas A & M.
