Just curious to see if anyone on this board will be attending the game Friday. Unfortunately, I can't make it this weekend. I hope there's a good amount of gold in the stadium Friday. Go Marquette!

Unfortunately I can't go on Friday. I hope to buy tickets off a North Carolina fan and attend a game on Sunday.
Still waiting for my e-mail from the ticket office, anyone else get one yet?
I'm waiting also, does anyone generally know the likelihood of getting turned down?
I thought the ticket office is going to send emails around 5 or 6 tonight.
What are the quality of the seats the MU ticket office has?
I will be going as well if I get tix through MU. Waiting on my email as well. They had mentioned to me yesterday that we should expect to hear in the afternoon. Don't know if that's changed.
Email just came in....Got my tickets! Heading to Newark on Friday!!
I'll be there. E-mails going out now.
Got my ticket through another source, I'll be there in Newark! My first MU post-season game in attendance! So, if I get a hotel near the prudential center, are there bars nearby, or do you just go to NYC? How about right before or after? I know its only like a fifteen minute train ride...

any idea what section the MU tickets are in?
I'll be there. Let's hope it can live up to the Cleveland experience.
I will be there with Midget Bar and then Norm on Sunday.
Won't be there on Friday but will be going on Sunday if we win. Was in Cleveland for both games and Sunday's game was the best experience I have ever had at a sporting event in my life. As for seating, I bought my tickets for last weekends games through the MU ticket office (season ticket holder request form) and was placed in the upper deck. Must not have had enough priority points to sit down low. O well, still an amazing experience!
Ecompt, I'm your huckleberry, if MU wins :).
My wife, 3 boys and myself will be there. Looking forward to meeting some of you folks!
I will be there... should be great.
I found a cheap flight to the game but didn't get my ticket request form in on time. For the Cleveland games everyone said scalping is easy and the cheapest way to go but I went through the ticket office. Any idea how easy it will be to scalp tickets for this upcoming fridays game?
I'll be there with 3 other alums.
How much are tickets going for this week? Any good deals? Would love to be in Jersey this weekend.
Flying out Friday and will be at the game with three other alums. Got my ticket notifcation this afternoon. Pumped!
Got my tickets through MU, just booked hotel. Rooms still available at Hilton/airport (EWR-Newark) for $149, couple blocks to MU reception Hotel (sold out), couple miles to Prudential Center (MU providing shuttle service from reception). Airfare was a bit expensive to Newark from O'Hare on American. Maybe try LGA? I think it's 30-40 minutes away?
Let's Go MU! I'll bring whatever voice I have left. ;D
MarqKC will be there with KC_Warrior and @joegrim.
Any locals able to provide some insight on how to best get from LGA to EWR via public transportation Friday and/or Sunday?

Not sure about LGA, but get yourself to the City...then take the the NJ Transit line from Penn Station NYC, to Penn Station Newark. It's a lot faster than taking the PATH, and $5 each way. Penn Station Newark is like a 5 minute walk to the Pru.

I know there are busses that run from Grand Central Terminal to the airports so I would suspect there are busses that run between the airports and Penn Station. Then see reinko's note about NJ Transit.
If you had flown into JFK you would have had the option of taking the monorail & subway all the way to Penn Station.

A local (my son, actually) uses Google Maps on his smartphone. After entering and getting driving directions from "current location" to destination (and it recognizes public buildings like the Pru Center), you'll see a public transport icon at the top of the screen. click on that, and based on the time it is and where you are, it'll show you bus/train options, departure times, transfer points and arrival times. I've done it and it works. Pretty cool.
Flying in today from Arizona for the big game. Looking forward to a great weekend.
Go Marquette!

How long would you estimate the trips from both LGA and JFK would each take to Penn-Newark?
I just found out that I have an extra ticket for the game tomorrow so if anyone is still looking I'm trying to sell it to a Marquette person rather than scalping it. Post here and let me know so we can try to work something out.
