Heads up. I bet this will be interesting.
On your local Espn radio or espnradio.com
No big surprise, Bilas complementary of Marquette.
~UNC is better
~But MU the kind of team that would give team any a lot of trouble, can penetrate, get in the lane, and they get to the foul line.
always have enjoyed bilas as an analyst. He seems to always be spot on and sees college teams for what they are.
And Bilas hasn't (yet) been captured by the ESPN hype-machine. He's just solid. (And he's spot on with his analysis of this game.)
Mike and Mike, otherwise known as Nebbish Jew and the Fatman.
Didn't really say anything outside of the fact that he eats breakfast at 4 AM with old, blind people. Nothing terribly insightful.
A little disappointing. You certainly can tell he is sick of the juco question.
Nice that doug knew he was at his breakfast joint at 5am

He is very Nebisshy
I was really hoping he was going to divulge the place where he eats breakfast at...
He was getting a little bit defensive about the focus on the fact a lot of his players are from JUCO.
he did make a good point about why weren't the stories of marquette about the quality of players and why does it matter where they came from.
it has to be tough for a ND guy like MikeG to talk with Buzz after ND didn't even show up for FSU
It was very vanilla. Learned nothing, other than Gottlieb does his homework.

Hate to say it but now that it's over it feels like they had him on cause they "had" to since we made sweet sixteen. They just got through it and are glad it's over.
Maybe I was expecting a lot more.
isn't Michaels open 24/7? I was shocked to hear it wasn't ma fishers

I certainly was.
Nothing like seeing a night-walker get pimp-slapped at 3AM while you enjoy a Bibi's omelet to make you appreciate your lot in life.

But he said he had to wait for them to open, automatically takes Michaels off the list of possible places.

It was geared toward a national audience. We've heard the schtick hundreds of times before...most people haven't.
Wooden Goose in Mequon?
4ev...When does the Goose open?

Not to hijack, but I'm very happy about the Michaels love here. My friends and I lived next to Miss Katies, and our poor asses would still rather walk over to Michaels for breakfast every Saturday.

See, I completely disagree - I find Bilas to be off numerous times, and no, the VCU prediction by Bilas isn't the reason why I am stating this - he just seems to make mistakes time after time... but then again, so does EVERYONE on ESPN.

Would that be the same "Ma's" from my time there in the late 70's with potty-mouthed Ma saying "STFU" to all the drunk college kids (me included) baiting here on at 2:00 a.m.? SHE certainly can't still be around!

That was my thought too.
One thing that stuck out to me was Buzz talking about how we're the second youngest team in the BEast this year (I didn't realize that) and how over the course of the season he's seen the maturity of the team develop. That is definitely true. In the pre-conference games and the early conference games, this team didn't seem to have an identity. They didn't seem to play cohesively and know each other well enough to know how to play off of each other. Marquette the Conference Play Team would get its ass kicked by Marquette the Tournament Team. It's remarkable how much more of a unit them seem to be now, even with much improved individual performances (Cadougan, Otule, E Will...have seen a bit more out of Jamailman recently - love that moniker - and Blue, though his offense needs a ton of work in the off-season, his defense is really, really good).
The guys figured each other out at the perfect time. Game planning seems to be at an all-time high as well. I'm PUMPED for this game on Friday.
