The game is on ESPN2, they are facing the 1-seed Tennessee Volunteers with a berth in the Sweet 16 on the line. If anyone thought Syracuse was a shocking upset, this would be comparatively bigger if Angel Robinson and the Lady Warriors could take down the Lady Vols. Let's go Warriors!
Off to the kind of start I was afraid of - 0-6 from the field but they have hit their last 2 shots at least to trail 10-5 at the first TV timeout.
Go Marquette!
Lady Warriors tied 30-30 with 4 to go in the half.
Looking good now!
Um .. why do the Lady Warriors have orange uniforms? Someone put a orange sock in the washer with the unis?

They are yellow - I've seen them wear them quite a few games this season. The court and TV seem to make them look orange. Up close they look more yellow.
They're sticking with them. Very entertaining first half.
Down 39-35 at the break, Tennessee keeps building little leads, but the Lady Warriors always pull back to a close score. If they can stay in this, they might be able to sneak out the upset at the end.
I'm very impressed with how they've done so far. It would have been nice if one of McMorris's last shots before the half could have fallen but it was nice execution and at least Tennessee didn't get the ball back and a chance to take a shot.
Wow wish I could watch it, instead espn puts on the DePaul game.. When it's on espnu as well. Stupid.

It is available online via espn3.com if you get that and are interested
Good game so far, would be cool to see both men and women get to the sweet 16
edit: LOL Tennessee really sucks trying to score down low
Angel Robinson is unreal. If this game is indicative of how they play every game then this is a very talented team.
Man, this is fun (I never watch womens BBall). Great performance all around. It will be hard to come on top but they are showing they can do it!
Both teams in sweet 16?!? That'd be sweet.
Really impressive that they have hung around this long. Tennessee should have won this by 30. I'd love to see one more run and put both men and women into the 16, but this would be a FAR bigger upset than what the boys did to Cuse.

This is indicative of how they play every game. They work very hard and never quit. They gave me a heart attack a lot this season with close games :) but were quite fun to watch.
No matter what happens tonight I'm very proud of them and the season they've had - not many people gave them a shot tonight and they competed very well.
Great game, they just won't quit. Too many empty possessions here at the end, though. The way they've defended a couple baskets could've given them the win. Let's hope for a late 3 or two and maybe OT. Not impossible.
Curious does Pat Summitt doesn't draw up the plays, she has an assistant do it during TO's, its weird, she was outside the huddle on that last TO.
Must be nice to play tourney games at home. Duke pulling away now late at home too. What a farce of a format.
Too bad they couldn't pull it off. Really impressive effort.
We all spend all our time talking about the men's team but the women's team deserves our respect as well, they had a great season and gave one of the best teams in the country everything they could handle.
Wow, those Marquette girls can rebound. Tough loss but they left it all on the floor.
Played with a lot of guts. Great job.
Should hold their heads up high. Gave Tennessee a real fight.
Yeah, I don't know how I feel about teams getting to play at home for this. Tennessee has all of those national championships but how many games were played away from their court? This is a real question. I really don't know.

Pretty much every NCAA at all levels has some sort of home court advantage for higher seeds. The NCAA needs the ticket sale money. My recollection was that these games used to be played at neutral sites, but the crowds were very poor.

Yeah. You are right just frustrating. Lots of manly looking women in the crowd at the duke game. But I guess that isn't abnormal for duke. Also looked like there was a special bulldog section in the tenn crowd.

There haven't been all neutral sites in my recollection. It used to be the top 16 seeds hosted and then sometime since 2000 they went to predetermined sites. A school/location puts in a bid to host but if you are hosting and playing, you play on your home court no matter what. So you had 11 seed Gonzaga hosting 6 seed Iowa and beating them, 6 seed Penn State hosting 3 seed DePaul tonight (DePaul came back to win) and 15 seed Utah hosted 2 seed Notre Dame - ND won that one. 11 seed Gonzaga hosts 3 seed UCLA tonight. I think you can only host two years in a row though.
My issue is more with MU's seeding this year - they should have had a 6 and got royally hosed with an 8 seed. Bad year for that too as all the #1 seeds are hosting this year.
It's not an ideal situation but I don't think they're ready attendance wise for true neutral sites either.
Really gutty, gritty effort by the lady warriors. Hung right with one of the best programs in NCAA WBB.

UT was a 25 1/2 point favorite tonight.
Gosh I was proud of how they played Tenn. so tough in their house
