Is MU the team with the most losses to make the Sweet 16?

I'm wondering about the 9 conference losses too.  Obviously UConn would tie MU with that stat if it were a record...

Villanova 2008
9-9 in conference, beat Clemson and Siena, lost to Kansas in the Sweet 16.

They at least have to have tied that record. No team has ever went in with more as an at-large. I believe the record was 13 losses by Arizona in 2009.

Didn't LSU make the final 4 one year with 14 losses?

LSU came in at 23-8 in 2006 and 18-11 in 1986. Both went to the Final Four, and the 1986 team was an 11-seed, but didn't have 14 losses.
