So happy I get at least one more week to watch Jimmy play.
What a Warrior!
Put the pressure on the point most of the second half. Then also had an awesome steal on Rick Jackson when we were playing small down the stretch. Shows through how much he loves to play the game, starting with D.
I caught a little of his post game press conference...and loved what he said...paraphrased:
This is an incredible feeling..I can't describe it. We've worked so hard as a team. But I'm not content. We want to be in Houston in the Final Four.
Can we just dream a little bit? Can you imagine if this team made up of so many Texas kids/Juco's, etc..somehow managed to knock off the likes of a Syracuse, North Carolina and Kentucky/Ohio State to advance???!! Talk about a made for Hollywood type of movie..
I saw this photo on Journal sentinel site this morning and Jimmy Butler is a specimen! It was from Syracuse game in Milwaukee.

I saw that too..and thought the same thing to myself. How far the game of basketball has evolved in the last 15 years since I was in college..with regard to the year round conditioning/training...is unreal. These guys are about 30% bigger, stronger, faster at the 1-4 positions..than they were 15 years ago..
good for Jimmy and all the seniors, and great for the young guys who get some exposure/experience.
really happy for JFB though, he's been a great leader and deserves another weekend in a warrior uniform (maybe even one more...).

I know this is about JFB, but I can't wait for Davante Gardner to go through a full year of a college weight training/conditioning program. With his offensive skills, the sky's the limit once he gets a big-time college athlete's body.

AGREED. Gardner is going to have the best athletic transformation ever at MU. Just look at how much he has already improved in his short time. I think he is going to be a big time player next year with his already present skill set!
