I'll be the first to admit. I didn't see anyway we beat Syracuse. It took everything we had to beat them at home with them on a losing streak. Figuring in the revenge factor I was just hoping we could keep it close. At the 3:50 mark with the score tied I turned to my wife and said. They've played so well I can live with the outcome whatever it is. But now for all those close Tourne games we've lost what we need now is a little luck. Alleluia! What a win
Just think back to how we were feeling after the first few games of the BEAST season. ;)

Preseason, I picked us for the Sweet 16. Now I'm hoping that I was wrong and that I wasn't optimistic enough ;D
I have us beating UNC next and then losing to OSU in the elite eight. So proud of these kids!!!!!
Whatever went down at that team meeting after the Seton Hall debacle, it straightened things out. BIG TIME. Can't pick a better time to play the best basketball of the season than right now.

hate to say "i told you so" but i did post about having a good feeling about this game last night... so yeah, i saw this coming. but, i dont care, SWEET SIXTEEN here we come!
I liked out bracked position. Thought X was overrated and thought we would have an advantage against the 2-3 zone as we had previously prepared for it and beaten SYR.
I picked us to go this far mostly out of wishful thinking. After a great Xavier game, I thought we had a real chance to knock off Syracuse. What a great game!
In all honesty, if you told me 6 months ago that out of our last 6 years that this is the team that brings us to the Sweet 16, I would have been pretty skeptical. Just so proud of a great TEAM!
Both games went just how I thought they would. I Knew we would handle Xavier pretty easily and expected a close game, but a win, against Syracuse.
Really happy for our guys. They are young men with a lot of class who represent MU well. They deserve all the accolades they are getting.

I had the Warriors losing to Washington in my bracket. But my brain told me they'd lose to Xavier
I liked our match-up over X...and I thought Cuse is undisciplined and fouls alot because they are physical. MU is not so undersized as in recent past NCAA runs. After a really bad run over the past two years when MU scores 70 or less points against quality teams, Buzz & crewe have won 3 out of the last four grinder games...with great defense. It was absolutely electric at the Q. It was our time. DJO and Jae had that look in their eyes at the end.
UNC plays a tempo we do well at. They are young and our guards are quick. Can our bigs continue to hold their own against them? As an 11 seed, we are playing without pressure. OSU fans will be cheering for us.
OSU will be tough for us the game after. Inside-outside. They are clearly the best team.
I had us in sweet 16 in my bracket. Felt any team, with possible exception of Ohio State, is beatable this season. Was very confident going into last nights game and very confident for Friday. I think 'ol Uncle Buzz has these guys pumped beyond belief. Love the swagger, looks like no fear in their eyes.
I liked the draw of Xavier and Syracuse and saw MU having a solid chance. I liked our draws of the last three years less and we were seeded higher.
I'll be completely honest I would have laughed IN YOUR FACE if you told me we would beat X AND Syracuse in the tournament...
It truly reflects on human nature, that we strive so hard to be perfect and pretend we have figured out everything, then its thrown back in our faces.

We have exceeded all expectations. Credit to the players for never giving up and to Buzz for seeing what was needed and getting them here.
I figured we had about a 40% chance to beat Xavier and about a 33% change to beat Syracuse and therefore about a 13% chance of getting here. Sad the way my mind works. I figure 30% shot at UNC and about a 10% chance against Ohio State, so about 3% shot at Final Four. We're playing with house money from now on.
it's a shame that Dom Wes Jerel and Lazar never got this far...but it's all part of building an upper tier program and this tourney has been that much SWEETER because Marquette had been "a team -- that's seemingly invented every horrible way to lose over the past few seasons" (Rosiak)
As a general rule, if MU makes the tourney I automatically put them in my Sweet 16. Its the homer in me.
I picked them to get this far. Just hope they get to play more than one more game.
