Title: UNC Bigs
Post by: FF03 on March 20, 2011, 09:54:33 PM
My concern with the UNC game going in is their bigs:

Zeller-Think Otule can do ok on him due to what he has done with other Big East bigs this year (and Rick Jackson tonight).

John Henson is the guy that scares me as he is incredibly lanky with a 7'4" wingspan.  Who are we going to put on him?  I am guessing that Erik Williams gets his turn at him and may see increased minutes due to his lankiness.  The good think is that he is real skinny so I think Crowder could out muscle him.

All in all I really think we match up pretty decently with the other 3 in the starting 5.

I think you're dead on.  Their length is scary but I think we are more physical.  I expect a great game.  Give Buzz a week.  We'll see what he comes up with.

I think we match up well against N.C.  (as well as possible considering they are a young semi-pro team).  Buzz will find the seams.  I am so thrilled for these guys!

When Buzz has time to scout and prepare for a team we generally do well.

The game plan for xavier was spot on. I expect something of the same.

I just don't want to get into a running match with NC cause we will lose

Anyone else notice how well they played Jackson when Otule went out of the game.  The guy can only move one direction.  Completely one handed.  Buzz new it and had it played perfectly.

Watching the game today it didn't seem like their bigs like to crash to boards too much.  They were much more interested on getting out on the break.

I'm sure Coach Buzz will have something for'em!
