I can't think of anything recent that even comes close.
That was the kind of play you always see other teams make. Nice for it to happen for MU this time!
Since Wades dunk on KY. DJO love the big stage and that's a tremendous quality
Did Novak hit a 3 from the corner to win a game, maybe against ND?
JFB hit one from a corner last year that was a game winner, tear-inducer.
Hard to say since we haven't been here since Wade

+1. Goosebumps galore.
As a program, the Wade throw-down vs. UK in 2005. In front of a partisan crowd, gonna be a long time to top the Novak three vs ND when the roof on the BC about came down.

JFB's was great against UConn, but anyone here that was at the ND game knows it was Novak's. Running into the corner, falling away, falling out of bounds, as the clock is expiring, stone cold ice in his veins nothing but net. My spine is tingling just thinking about it. Though tonight's held WAY more on the line obviously so tonight's is bigger.
Wade's dunk 3 point play against Kentucky was incredible too.
We can also feel secure with next year. When the game is on the line, DJO has been there, done that!

Well, unless he goes pro.
Great question and I was thinking the same thing. The Kentucky game in 2003 was such a rout that it's hard to put anything from that game into the mix. Diener hit some HUGE shots vs. Holy Cross, as did Novak vs. Missouri. I am having a hard time remembering the Utah State game, but that was a first round game. Kentucky in '94 was also not as closely contested...just a beatdown like the Xavier game.
Honestly, as far as post season clutch goes...can we go to Jerome Whitehead? I know that's blasphemous, but that DJO shot was ENORMOUS!

I know this is in teal but that thought actually crossed my mind. Many an 'above-average' player has parlayed a great performance in March into a less-than-deserved NBA contract.
I don't think he's going to go anywhere but he can be butter smooth when he plays within himself so I wouldn't be shocked if he at least puts out 'feelers'
Since Crowder's 3 moments before.

I agree. Crowder's was bigger in my mind. If he misses, we lose. If DJO misses we have a shot at OT with good d.
no question this was bigger than any regular season shot. this was a shot, with 25 seconds left, that sent the team to the SWEET SIXTEEN!!! we're going to be one of two big east teams left!!!
god i'm so fracking happy right now...

+1 Since "SEND IT IN...MEDIUM SIZED FELLA!!"
St. John's fan here...congratulations guys! Enjoy it and go out and beat NC!
I keep thinking of any of Novak's threes in OT vs Mizzou to send us to Minneapolis in 2003.
...and thanks for checking in JumpinJohnny. Congrats on a hell of a turnaround this year.
Crosscourt pass to Jerome whitehead who turns and drains it within the two seconds left on the clock
Thanks ,Johnny
With about 3-4 minutes left and the game basically tied with the lead changing hands over and over, i couldn't help but feel dread that we'd lose yet another heartbreaking NCAA Tournament loss.
When DJO drilled that though, i finally was able to feel like i had reason to believe that this year would be different.
This team frustrates me at times, but there is a toughness about them that i really respect. They never seem to hang their heads when things go bad, they just hang tough and keep attacking.
i forgot about those novak 3's against mizzou... thats actually pretty close...
