Title: Big Finger to the ESPN News Crew..
Post by: NersEllenson on March 20, 2011, 09:36:33 PM
They've said "it would be the 1,2,3,4 teams" in the East region if Marquette didn't play out of their minds.

Then they've proceeded to talk about Ohio State, North Carolina, and Kentucky..(somewhat understandable)..but not 1 mention more about MU in a 10 minute segment about the East bracket as it stands now.

I hate watching Marquette on National television because they always announce our player's names wrong. Let our game go un-announces so teams dont have a good look at us.

On another note..caught a little of the post game news conference on CBS College Sports Network...and their in studio crew (so much better than the Kenny Smith/Barkley/Pitino) crew - The Princeton coach and Paul Hewitt...

they were extremely complimentary about Buzz and MU...and said MU has a VERY good chance to beat UNC..and most people will greatly underestimate MU.

Hewitt said a weakness of Carolina is dealing with teams that "are quick to the ball."  Said MU is one of the quickest he's seen (and he coached Ga Tech - albeit not greatly - but has seen a lot of teams).

By the way, we didn't play "out of our minds."

We can beat Carolina! Ohio State is a different story.

Agree entirely..OSU looks like an absolute beast with their 3 point shooting ability and that being an achilles heal to an extent...UNC seems much more beatable..

Ners.  You have had more faith this year that I have.  And I have stayed faithful.  The sign of the cross at church just beore heading to the bar might have worked, but you have carried to torch.  If I dont see you in Houston, see you in the Suite at the BC next year.  Fock you ESPN.
