The foul at the end is a good play once they're at the rim. If you just let them lay it in, the clock stops anyway. Make them hit both foul shots, if they miss, the game is over!!

Agreed, as long is it a hard foul which keeps the shot from dropping.

No. He's right there. They almost got 1 at the line and a free possession out of it. We could've inbounded with a one point lead as a result. Luckily, Dwight Buycks with a big strip. YESMOREBUYCKS!!! Go Marquette!!!
But then he said "that's even worse!" when told it was a shooting foul.

Definitely...make them earn both points instead of an easy lay in...I have NO problem with a foul..could have done it on the previous possesion too.
