should not officiate another game in the tournament. He just screwed Memphis out of a jump ball.
Who let him out of the dog house?
Should not officiate another game period. He's past his prime. Not in good enough shape to keep up with today's collegiate athletes. Maybe he was a good ref once, but those days are behind him.
i think there was a foul on the rebound too. im surprised too, ive never seen burr swallow that whistle

There has been a ton of whistle swallowing in this tournament in the last 10 seconds of the games.

Unless you're the ref calling the travel on Kalin Lucas with seconds to go.

Could that really be ignored? He took at least 3 steps.
Williams nailed Witherspoon on the arm: http://gif.mocksession.com/2011/03/blowncall/
No ref in the world is going to call that on the arm when he basically blocked the shot so completely up above. Not a chance. If anything, it should have been called on the rebound, but the AZ guy backed off and the guy should have had a lay-up.
Oh, and I don't think it should have been a jump. The AZ guy ripped it away and called the timeout.

At the end of the George Mason / Nova game, Wayns drives the lane and flat out runs over the GMU defender...no foul...not on offense or defense. They gotta call something right?
Hang up the whistle, Burr.
