With 5 minutes to go Wisconsin had 5 points ... they scored 6 pointed in the last two minutes.
This is one UGLY game so far ... slow by even Wisconsin standards (Wisconsin is ranked #345 of 345 in game tempo)

Here are the lines at half;
Penn State - FG 8 of 24 = .333 3FG 2 of 7 = .286 FT 2-2
Wisconsin - FG 7 of 24 = .292 3FG 1 of 11 = .091 FT 1-2
Really?? Ugh!

Did I just hear the announcers talk about St. bo and say he made a transformation of Wisconsin basketball? I wonder what Dick Bennett and his Final 4 team thinks of that? :o

8 minutes left in the first half of the louisville / ND game and teh score is 23 - 28 respectively. BEast > Big Ten

UW is taking it to Penn State in teh 2nd half right now, outscoring them 4-2 through 5:30 in the 2nd half.

The rims are getting warped from the scud-like impacts. 14 minutes to go and somebody other than Taylor and Leuer finally scores.

My son just walked in, looked at the score asked me why I was watching the game with a "you must not have anything better to do to watch a boring game." I was both hurt and proud at the same time. ;)

ND had 46 at the half. This game is PSU 30, UW 28 with 6:00 left. The winner is not getting to 46.
... and where is Chicos to carry on and on and on and on about what a great job Bo's teams do.

How can anyone stand that style of sloppy basketball. Run up the floor, throw up a brick, run down the floor throw up a brick. Ugh. Makes my eyes bleed.

They need to turn the microphones off that are near the rims. That clanging sound is getting awfully distracting.

It is much more exciting to crawl up the court, drain time off the shot clock, throw up a brick, crawl up the floor, take time off the clock and throw up a brick. Much more palitable on the eyes.

And on other broadcasts nationally, the announcers are saying that "at the under 4 Time Out of the 1st half, the score is PSU 32 UW 30. Oh, wait, what? Under 4 of the 2nd half? You can't be serious."
Is a 4 point lead insurmountable in this game?

I would have easily taken the over at 119. NO ONE would have seen that result. Just like NO ONE would have seen the three point game Louisville dropped on us. I love our chances in the NCAA being a hustle team with nothing to lose.

JP might give the Badgers lip service about finishing 2nd in an 8 horse field, but in a match race against any of the 7 finalists (and against scores of schools that didn't make his final list) Wisconsin is second (ie, last) every time.

We just got out of the elementary school talent show and I turned on my iPhone to get the scores. Sounds like the Big East games were fantastic. Then I saw the UW-Madison score....wow. I thought the phone app might have been stuck.
That must have been the worst basketball game in the shot clock era.

Well, that game was bad and slow enough to push Wisconsin down to end conference play as the slowest team in basketball, and moved Penn St. down to 340.

Lenny's beat me to it....I had knee surgery yesterday and have been enjoying my time sleeping and "floating on the pain meds... ;)
That said you can't believe how long it took to post...the meds definitely impact fine motor skills...brain is saying one thing- fingers doing something still together different.
The best thing is that all of Badger nation can't be quite so cocky this morning....let's enjoy it while we can.

I wonder why, on a night in which they were so clearly off, Bo stood by watching as Taylor and Leuer tossed up 37 of the team's 51 shots (making just 12 of them, including 1-for-13 on threes).
I suppose at some level you've got to dance with the girl that brung you, but you would think he would have tried to get the other players more involved.

The Gasser/Nankavil/Bruesewitz combo averaged more than 15 attempts per game during the regular season. Last night, when Taylor and Leuer couldn't hit anything, those three took just eight shots. Just seemed odd that Bo didn't do more to get the rest of lineup more involved when the Taylor and Leuer show was bombing.
