Title: BYU in big trouble
Post by: drewm88 on March 10, 2011, 02:57:25 PM
Currently down 1 at half to TCU (11-21, 1-15 MWC). I would absolutely love to get a shot against them in the 2nd round. Even before they lost their fornicator, I liked our chances with JFB on Jimmer.

Yea, I think we have to cheer for them to win because most have them as a 2/3 seed right now. Unless they drop like a rock. I'd love to get a 7 seed with them as the 2, but they'd have to pull it together this week for that to happen.

Or if we have to be an 8, BYU would most certainly be the "1" I'd most rather be up against.......

Big trouble?

I realize they probably pull this out, but I meant it more as a sign that their loss last week wasn't a fluke. They are nowhere near as good without the big guy.

The NCAA would not be treating other teams fairly if they put BYU as a 1 or 2 seed.  They are not at that level anymore.  Whomever would be on that side of the bracket would have an easier road than those schools with legitimate #1 seeds in the other brackets.  No way BYU will get a 1.  They might get the Kenyon Martin special of a 2 seed, but even that would surprise me.  UC was a clear #1 seed that year while BYU has been an iffy #1 even with Davies.

Well, its a lock then, BYU will be the #1 seed in whatever bracket the NCAA puts Duke in.

I could see them dropping to a 4.
