We were all feeling rejected when this kid went UNC. He lost his starting job and we have a potential all-american.
We lose Frasor and gain McNeal - I will take that any day of the week.
hindsight may be a wonderful thing, but we play the cards we're dealt...live life by the decisions we make...<insert another cliche' here>.
jerel over fraser isn't bad at all.
I don't think it was ever Frasor over McNeal. I think the goal was Frasor taking Matt Mortensen's spot, and having him with the three amigos...however unlikely that may be.
From everything I have heard it was:
Point: James
Combo: Frasor or McNeal
WG: Wesley
Frasor committed in early June to UNC.
James and McNeal both committed on July 2nd.
Wesley committed on July 18th.
Mort committed in Late September.
Other players involved in this year were Harvey Hale, Jeremy Pargo, Tony Freeman.
You could tell Crean wanted a lot of guards after what happened with the point center experiment.
I never thought Frasor was seriously considering MU. We were going after him along with a ton of other schools. He kind of got a raw deal down at Chapel Hill when they brought in Lawson. I still think Frasor is a solid player and he is getting more PT as of late, and especially late in games, and I will think this will continue in the tourney.
Speaking of Lawson, is he a possibility to be a one and done player? I would think his stock would be very high. If DJ is on the NBA board, Lawson has to be too.

Frasor has been battling injuries, which is the main reason his playing time was reduced. I'd love to have him on Marquette.

Marquette was high on Frasor's list.
Marquette finished behind NC and Stanford for Frasor.
Ok, so we were plan C, a safety net, in case his main options fell through.
