WTMJ's special tonight on the Warriors win 30 years ago in Atl. brought back some priceless memories as well as being able to see myself in the crowd ready to rush the court as UNC went down. But, the most nostalgic moments were clips of Al discussing himself, his philosophy, and the team. Hard to believe he's been gone six years already.

A memory you will take to your grave. I'm envious.
I was so fortunate to work with Al for 5 years on a couple of projects ...memories I will take to my grave.

WTMJ put video of this online. I'm watching it right now; it's fantastic.
If this doesn't get you pumped for tomorrow, few things will.
The show will be replayed at 9 and 10:30 AM on TW Sports, Channel 32 in Milwaukee.
Just watched the 10:30 replay....great stuff.
...When Al started coaching he 'recruited'...when he ended he 'selected'. Must have been a nice!!
...8 straight years with never falling out of the Top 10.
...One year he said his team never took a bad shot---for the entire year. Al said one of his guys took a bad shot once. Al asked why he took the shot--it was a bad shot. The kid said he 'got caught up in the air and had to shoot'. Al replied he should had taken the travel. Talk about discipline!!
I'm sure this is nothing new to most...but man I'm set for game time!!
