On the occasion of honoring MU's seniors finishing their careers, the wonderful local paper takes the following approach in their allegedly comedic Take Two section apparently written by someone named Paul Drzewiecki.
"Senior Day for Marquette is Wed. It's a yearly celebration to honor anyone who made it to the end of his eligibility with the GEs basketball team without having to voluntarily transfer."
Nice!
Take Two is what the Paul Drzewieckis of the world have to resort to after they have been let go as regular sports reporters for the MJS. No one paid attention to him when he was a writer for MJS...don't pay attention to him now.
GE?

You see, it's funny because MU has one of the highest graduation rates in D1 basketball. Hah, he's being ironic!

Golden Eagles?
Thanks. Pretty obvious, I guess. My mind just won't go there I guess.

Don't feel bad, my first thought was General Electric.

Do you have a link? I've searched online and can't find it. Curious to read the rest of this "comedic" piece. Or was it just in the print version?
No need to provide a link for me!
Never heard of the guy, won't bother reading his drivel, already forgot his name. :-*

IMO, this heavily outweighs the fact that we, like many other programs, have transfers.
At least Rosiak wrote a good article on MU: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/goldeneagles/117211028.html (http://www.jsonline.com/sports/goldeneagles/117211028.html)
I don't think I have ever found this on the website; only in the actual newspaper. I don't have it here at work and I don't remember the exact headings, but every day they have two positive (or "Up", "Hot", something like that) and two negative (or "Down" or "Cold) items. Ironically, the MU item was one of the positive things.
They had something about MUs non-conference schedule a few weeks ago in that same section. Seriously. Really? C'mon MJS. I know you suck and all, but do you suck that bad?
