Title: JaJuan Johnson...
Post by: 77ncaachamps on February 27, 2011, 01:09:03 PM
Man. This guy would be tearing it up for MU.
Dominant big man with a nice jay. Big miss for MU.

Who was the main MU recruiter for him?

Johnson and E'twan(whatever)  Moore were both recruited to Purdue by Cuonzo Martin.

Cuonzo Martin will be an up and coming coach to look out for, he's now HC at Missouri State.  (record at MSU 8-21 first year then 24-12 and currently 23-7 (15-3 in conference) and just clinched their first ever Missouri Valley reg season championship.

Crean probably led on the recruitment of Johnson but I wouldn't have liked our chances going up against Kelvin Sampson or the more local schools.

Thanks.

RE: This MSU game, if they continue to play like this, they DO NOT deserve a tourney chance.

What a game. 20, 17, and 7. Does Johnson have a brother?

Agreed ... and good for us, one less bubble team to contend with.

Martin helped recruit Johnson to Purdue, but Painter was the key to recruiting him. As soon as he arrived in West Lafayette he was after Hummel, Moore, Johnson, and Martin (now at ND).
