Jim Mac mentioned on the Uconn broadcast that DJO wants to known as "The Dark Knight" in reference to the recent Batman movie.
Anyone know the story about this?

As opposed to a more "traditional" noble warrior image?
So then last night was the Dark Knight Returns?
I don't think he should be able to decide his own nickname...especially one as lame as that.
Says the guy who calls himself the Sultan of South Wayne ;)
Heh...touche...
Agree that he shouldn't be able to pick his own nickname but I don't think he can get a technical for saying "Pray to Me" after he drills a three.
Homer interviewed DJO on Buzz's show on 540 Monday night. If I remember correctly, DJO says that when he uses his right hand on a shot, not a dunk, he wanted to be called the 'Dark Knight.' Then he hit that shot at the end of regulation with his right hand. Listen to the replay on 540 for a more accurate recollection.
I like it--The Dark Knight.
The team needs good nicknames for more of the players. We already have:
Crowder: Predator
Gardner: The Ox
Any others?

It's "OX", not "The Ox"....sorry to split hairs....
Jamail Jones is "Mellow"
Crowder is not "predator". His nickname is "Beast"
And don't pull a Homer and call him "The Black Knight"
