I can't believe the almighty Crean would recruit a player with issues to play at Marquette!

Maybe KU will sign Monterale Clark to fill the void.

The good news is that Buzz is really close to T.T. so maybe he can help turn his life around for him and set him on the proper course.

This has to be the quickest Topic-to-Crean v. Buzz transition in the history of the Scoop.

Back on topic, I hadn't heard about this, but I'm surprised student athletes at large institutions aren't suspended more often. The stress, the hours, the spotlight, the celebrity...I'm shocked as many handle it as well as they do.

Haha I was going for that.

I just wanted to show that any recruit or player, no matter how great his character, could get in trouble at any time.  It doesn't matter who is recruiting him or what the school is.

Yeah, I was really impressed with him as a freshman and thought we lost out on a gem.  But he's the same player now he was then.  Very little improvement if any.

So, if he leaves like Korie Liscious ... do we take him as a transfer?

Depends on what his transgression(s) were.

If he wanted to leave, I'm sure Coach Hurley would find a nice landing spot for him.

Draft Express has him 2nd rounder.

Fox Sports 2nd rounder

WalterFootball.com says later first, early second rounder

I don't disagree with you necessarily, but there are some out there that think the kid has the ability to go in the draft.

First, he's a way better player than Lucious. Don't know what the situation is with his attitude/behavior, but if he came here for a year there's no doubt he'd be an upgrade.

If that's the case hed be better off entering the draft than transferring.

If he would get drafted, I agree, but I think he's borderline and this "bad behavior" stuff won't help.

I don't see him playing in the NBA. As far as the mock drafts...they had him safely in the first round early in the year.

He'll be back on the floor by the time the calendar says March.

I heard the same thing about:
Joseph in Minn
Phillips in Iowa State
Drew at UNC
Luscious at MSU

... I guess one of these times it will be true.

Orwell, the difference here is Minn, ISU, UNC, and MSU have no shot at the NCAA Championship. The Jayhawks do.

Get in trouble at a top 5 school and everyone will look the other way.  Get in trouble at a non-top 5 school and good bye.  How dumb of me to forget this rule.  Even my five year daughter is embarrassed I forgot it.

What is usually the cause to a suspension like this? I know team rules is the reason given but what exactly does that mean? I feel like this can't berelated to the law in anyway or else there would have been a mention in the police reports/blotter.

Taylor was allegedly taking Marisha Brown, a KU women's bb player, down into the low blocks at Allen Field House:

http://www.sportsbybrooks.com/phoggy-jayhawks-suspended-for-one-on-one-29524

So what happened?

"From two Kansas media sources, I was told this morning that Taylor and Brown were allegedly discovered playing a little unauthorized 1-on-1 inside Allen Fieldhouse.

You can take that any way you'd like.

When Title IX advocates first proposed the concept of gender equity in intercollegiate athletics, somehow I think this isn't what they had in mind."

Does anyone know if coach Hurley went to the Rutgers game in NJ with Taylor's family to see Buzz and cheer on MU?

This is just a guess, but I think it was for fraternizing with bald headed coaches from Big East schools.
