I'm glad UC won. More teams from the Big East in the Dance.
MU still plays UC. MU needs good wins.

It is pretty much a shame that we are now rooting for other BEast teams to knock off teams that are more than likely ahead of us for selection Sunday.

The best thing to do is for us to beat those teams. If the selection would be made today, we are in 11th place in the Conference and all 10 teams ahead of us deserve to get in before us. Ot would be great to see the BEast get n11 teams in, I just do not see right now that happening. I think we will end up 9-9 and 18-13 overall, and don't think that will be good enough. If we do end up there, 18-13, unless we win two tourney games, I do not think it will happen.

I mostly agree with willie - maybe not about what our required record is to make the NCAA's, but rather that rooting against other BE foes doesn't really help us much.  MU just needs to take care of their on business and then they can be dancing.  As simple of that, and doesn't really require bursting any other BE bubbles.

I disagree.  I think we would be in significantly better shape today had WVU lost to ND and UC lost to Providence.

Instead of being standalone in 11th place, we would be in a 9th place tie with Cincy and WVU--and a win in the books over WVU.

I don't think even the most committed homer could spin 11th place as being equally good as a tie for 9th.
