And the fans stormed the court.

Did Jim Harbaugh text the coach, observing that the Nebraska team has "come of age?"

Looks like Nebraska isn't going to be the b-ball pushover everybody thought they'd be when they join the Big 10 next year.  I4's climb out of the cellar just got a little harder...

As a long suffering Husker basketball fan, I have to make a couple of points.

Nebraska is really tough at home this year.  The game against KSU on Wednesday is going to be huge in Lincoln.  Both teams are squarely on the bubble.  KSU is hot right now, but they still only have one win against the RPI Top 50.  They've also really struggled away from home.  NU's defense will keep it close and frustrate the Mildcats.  Pretty much a toss-up game.

This year has been solid for Nebraska, but it in no way indicates the program is on the rise.  Recruiting is an absolute mess.  Most of the roster are JUCOs and transfers from D2 schools.  We'll get pounded in the Big 10.  Nebraska is building a new arena, but that won't change the fact that the state produces zero basketball talent.

On a side note, Tracy Webster is now an assistant with Nebraska.  Maybe he can get some Chicago kids to Lincoln.
