Title: Im usually optimistic...
Post by: PGsHeroes32 on February 15, 2011, 09:42:10 PM
but were in trouble. Too many idiots on this team. Buycks is playing like trash. Junior doesnt look to shoot. We just sit and swing the ball around because we know we only have 3 real threats and 1 of them DJO just pump fakes and kicks it back out to repeat the process.

O, and lets not forget the 5 straight easy layups. Thank god Otule blocked 2.

Jimmy playing well, but i dont like our chances.

St.Johns isnt even good, and they are a bad defensive team. Yet we play like this.

Well we are not strong at the point for the 1st time in a long while plus our intensity seems to be lacking

I'm generally optimistic too but we look like crap tonight...

Just doesn't seem like we want it all that bad, especially on defense.

Don't dive after loose balls.Very poor knowledge of the game

45 to 38 lead at 18 minute mark

Now 62 to 52 down at 8 minute

24 to 7 run.  Brutal, anemic offense.

Turnovers on offense, layup drill on defense.
I will watch NO NIT games!

Down 9 and Buzz has Junior and Blue in game at same time.  Like playing 3 on 5 on offense.

I wouldn't say that, they're pretty good.  They have beaten some good teams.  Those were boo birds I heard on the tv, right?

Tonight is one of those games that kills us in the three ways.

SJU we're fighting for a bid with, and losing.  UCLA we're fighting for a bid with, and UCLA beat St. John's.  Home loss means you now have to sweep Seton Hall which I didn't think we would do prior to the season starting and I don't think we will now...that means 13 losses.

Well...7 minutes to go, let's pray we wake up.

I hate to say it but this is depressing.  Too many 2nd shots for St. Johns, too many TOs and missed FTs at the end for us.

When's the last time a Marquette team looked this bad?
Title: Re: Im usually optimistic...

Crowder and Butler missed consecutive front ends of one/ones at around 5 minute mark.

AnotherMU84, why don't you go find another team that sucked defensively tonight, so you can mock the fact things need to change for MU defensively?

Can't wait for the report.

No you asked if Litehouse was watching the game.  I just brought up the fact they both missed front ends.  Who said anything about 100%???  Up to that point they were fine.

Agreed again NYG.  We can't miss front ends at the end.  Yes I know we've shot well at the line overall.  But we miss at the end of the game too often.  We also gave up WAY too many 2nd chance shots and had far too many TOs.  Does anyone else wish DJO had shot a few more 3s?  He makes bad decisions driving into the lane and at times he's open for the 3.
